Debora Smail (Houston, Texas)

Debora is a New Mexico-raised, Texas-based culinary, editorial, photojournalistic, digital and film photographer.

After attending Eastern New Mexico University, Debora settled in Texas, where she shoots regularly for Houston Modern Luxury
and Texas Monthly
Her work has appeared in National Geographic, Food & Wine, GQ, Maxim, Esquire, Time Magazine, and Vogue, as well as national marketing campaigns for Schlumberger, CenterPoint Energy, HMNS, (Houston Museum of Natural Science), and Four Seasons Hotels.

She has completed five published award-winning cookbook projects — Green Beans & Guacamole, Carrabba’s, Paulie's, Taste of Texas, and Cal-a-vie Health Spa — with a sixth cookbook project slated for early 2021.

Debora embraces visual genuineness in a time where everything seems to be photoshopped to perfection.
